Moving to new offices on the 10th floor of Atlantic Wharf offered Cresa an opportunity to create an innovative and contemporary work environment that is supportive of their company culture. Cresa is a trusted advisor to their clients providing solutions and value that help them meet their real estate objectives. This time it was Cresa’s turn to create a workspace to support how their various teams work and positively impact their business.
Cresa engaged TRIA and Creative Office Pavilion (COP) to help create a space with their goals in mind. The first objective was to lighten up the entire office. Their old space was saddled with heavy wood doors and expanses of drywall construction. Cresa’s new office featured open expanses of DIRTT prefabricated glass walls to ensure natural light filtered throughout the entire space. The furniture was selected to support a rustic and warm environment, coupled with artfully crafted light fixtures to round out the desired aesthetic. A custom designed barnwood conference table is the centerpiece of a sought after space for meetings.
For the workstations, Cresa wanted to support employee comfort and wellness, while opening up sight lines for better communication. Workstation panel heights were lowered and every station was specified with a height adjustable desk. A variety of meeting and huddle room spaces offer employees choice in where to hold meetings. The installation of Zoom technology in every conference setting supported Cresa’s communication needs. TRIA conceived a design that transformed the way Cresa’s employees used their space, with the creation of a large café area for people to gather and collaborate. This area always has a buzz of activity as people catch up with each other throughout the day.
This new space supported Cresa’s project objectives: creating a space that supports technology, collaboration and most importantly fun. All departments were involved in developing the space, with brokerage, marketing and project management all weighing in on what was required to make the space a success. While usually the trusted advisor for their client’s moves, this process allowed them to implement workplace strategy to develop this highly functioning environment. These key learnings have helped elevate their thinking of transformative spaces when working with their customers, as they share their own experience and best practices.
